In October 2010 the Lord led the family to return to Melbourne, Australia where Nelson was able to attend Melbourne School of Theology to obtain is Bachelor of Theology degree, whilst also pastoring a small church plant.  In 2018 Nelson became the pastor of Noble Park Evangelical Baptist Church and served there for eight years.  In December 2024, after much prayer and a call to minister at Bethlehem, he and Heather began the process of moving to Port Talbot in October 2025.
